Windows SharePoint Services

Microsoft Windows SharePoint hosting is offered free of charge by Information Technology Services to University staff, faculty, and students and allows creation of team web pages for project management, information sharing, and team collaboration. Teams and site administrators can create, edit, and manage site content and user activity. In your SharePoint site, you can set up:

• Web pages and sites
• Workspaces
• Wikis
• Discussion boards
• Project task lists
• Announcements
• Shared calendars
• Contact lists
• Shared link lists
• Document, form, and image libraries
• Issue tracking
• Surveys

SharePoint and MyPoint are accessed using a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

Use SharePoint to set up a departmental or academic site; use MyPoint to set up an individual, personal site. Visit sharepoint.uark.edu or MyPoint.uark.edu for more information. For an in-depth trial of SharePoint services or in order to request your own site, use the SharePoint request form or the MyPoint request form.

Examples of SharePoint URLs include:

sharepoint.uark.edu/sites/dept (vanity domains are available)
mypoint.uark.edu/sites/username (where "username" is your actual UARK username)
