Web Hosting with Microsoft IIS Web Services

Getting an account:

Use the IT Services Microsoft Web Services form found on our Request Forms and Documents page to request this service.

About:

IIS Web Services allows web development in a Microsoft environment on the www3.uark.edu server. This is a free service available to University of Arkansas departments and organizations for hosting web pages utilizing active server technology and FrontPage extensions. The cavern.uark.edu server is still the main repository for departmental websites at the U of A.  All official UARK web sites must be published through RedDot Content Management System.  See the Reddot Resource Center for further information

URL Example:

www3.uark.edu/dept (vanity domains are available)

Accessing IIS Web Services:

Microsoft IIS Web Services can be accessed through a web browser, SMB (on campus only), or SFTP.  File transfer software downloads are available from the File Transfer page.
