Terms and Conditions
It is the policy of the University of Arkansas to honor copyright and license agreements entered into with vendors for software. Therefore, before an employee receives a copy of software from the University, that employee must agree to abide by the limitations included in the copyright and license agreements. Acceptance of any product for use constitutes acceptance of the restrictions on the product. It is the employee's responsibility to become familiar with the copyright and license agreements for each piece of software as documented by the vendor. This information is available from IT Services upon request.
The following software is available through IT Services for a fee, under the terms of the individual agreements. For more information on our site licensing services, call 575-2905.
Altiris Client Management Suite tightly integrates industry-leading technologies to reduce the total cost of owning client systems. The Suite automates time-consuming and redundant tasks to minimize efforts and costs associated with deploying, managing, securing, and troubleshooting client systems so you can gain control of your IT environment. The Education Management Suite will allow you to remotely deploy software applications and upgrades to multiple computers simultaneously, keep inventory on software and hardware, monitor usage of site licenses, solve and implement help desk solutions without leaving your desk, and manage LAN, WAN, mobile and remote users.
Costs for the new licenses and maintenance to renew the licenses can be seen on the Altiris Price list. Maintenance must be purchased each year or the software will need to be deleted from all computers and servers.

AMOS an easy-to-use structural equation modeling (SEM) software and is available for Windows.
Users requesting distribution copies of AMOS software will be charged on a per application program / CPU loaded basis (fee schedule subject to change without prior notice). This Distribution Agreement is effective for the current fiscal year.

BrioQuery is a sophisticated, client-server ad hoc query and reporting system that provides non-technical users easy access to the valuable data stored in the Data Warehouse. With BrioQuery, you can build queries and reports quickly and intuitively by clicking icons and manipulating objects. BrioQuery displays the retrieved data in a tabular format, and also lets you build eye-catching presentations that can include graphic elements and charts.

Exceed is Windows-based software that permits access to X-windows applications on Unix servers from personal computers. The Exceed site license is available to UA faculty and staff. Students can contact keys@uark.edu for information regarding Exceed.

Mathematica is a tool for lecture presentations, student lab reports, and individual student projects and is also useful for research, journal articles, and writing applications. It can be helpful in understanding concepts and is used in engineering, mathematics, finance, physics, chemistry, biology, and a wide range of other fields with automation in algorithmic computation, interactive manipulation, and dynamic presentation of data.

Veritas NetBackup is a network-based, backup and recovery tool for the Solaris on SPARC.
Users of NetBackup Software must have a registered domain name before obtaining the site license.
