Downloading Legal Music

The University would like to remind all individuals utilizing its computer network (including students, faculty, and staff ) that file sharing of copyrighted materials without having distribution rights is illegal, is a violation of the University's Code of Computing Practices, and may involve significant legal penalties for which individuals may be personally liable.

As an alternative to illegal downloads, the RIAA publishes a list of legal music sites.

In addition to purchasing music downloads, there are some services that allow online streaming of music with an option to purchase tracks. One such services is Pandora Radio.
