File Transfer

While your computer is connected to the Internet, you can store, access, and share files on University hosted systems. The table below contains options for transferring files to your server account(s).

• comp.uark.edu is a Unix server which can be used for personal web pages and file storage and sharing. All faculty, staff, and students at the U of A are given 300 megabytes of free space on the comp server.
• cavern.uark.edu is the primary web development server (Unix) for most departmental and student organization web pages.
• gizmo.uark.edu is a Microsoft File Storage Services server available for file storage for University departments and registered student organizations (RSOs).
• www3.uark.edu is a Microsoft IIS Web Services server available for web site hosting with active server technology and FrontPage extensions. Only SFTP and WebDAV transfers are available on this server.
