Autodesk (AutoCad)The Autodesk Design Institute, formerly known as Autodesk Comprehensive Education Solution (ACES), site license allows faculty and staff to use popular Autodesk applications for architecture, interior design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, civil engineering, geographic information systems, 3D modeling, and visualization.
The Autodesk Design Institute (ADI) site license is available to faculty and staff for $186.00 per license. Media for the ADI products may be borrowed for five business days. Please fill out and sign the AutoCAD License Agreement (PDF, requires Adobe Reader) and return the form to IT Services, 220 ADSB or fax form to 575-4753. Maintenance must be purchased each year for the ADI license. If you decline to pay the maintenance, all copies of Autodesk products must be deleted from the computers and servers and any media returned to IT Services, 220 ADSB. Crystal ReportsCrystal Reports is a software package for generating reports from various database sources. ESRIArcGIS and ArcView are defacto standards for Geographic Information Systems software. Prices below reflect the standard academic pricing for ESRI software under the Arkansas Statewide Academic Site License. JMPJMP is desktop statistical discovery software from SAS used for exploring and analyzing data on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems. It is available FREE to anyone who is affiliated with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Requests or upgrades are done by completing and submitting the JMP Software/Site License Request. MATLABThe MATLAB software includes Simulink and Toolboxes. MATLAB is a high-level, technical computing language widely used by engineers and scientists for numeric computation, data analysis and data visualization. The campuswide license for MATLAB is funded through the offices of the respective Deans of the Engineering, Fulbright, and Walton Colleges. Faculty in these colleges should contact departmental or college level technical support to acquire the software. Faculty from other colleges should contact Dan Puckett of IT Services at danp@uark.edu or 575-6535. MATLAB, Simulink, and Toolboxes are available for student use in the General Access Computing Labs maintained by IT Services. See the MATLAB page for more information.

QWS3270QWS3270 Secure is a TN3270E emulation tool used on the U of A, Fayetteville campus for connecting to admin.uark.edu to use BASIS and other administrative functions. QWS 3270 Secure is a retail product provided for use on the U of A, Fayetteville campus by IT Services and is restricted to authorized use only.

RespondusRespondus is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard and other eLearning systems. The campus license of Respondus is available FREE to any UA faculty (instructor, graduate student, teaching assistant, staff, etc.) wishing to easily create exams or surveys for online testing through BlackBoard. Sun ScholarPACThrough an agreement with Sun Microsystems, departments and faculty of the University who maintain Sun SPARC workstations can obtain the latest release of the Solaris operating system and major compilers for SPARC. Participation in ScholarPAC requires an annual fee. The amount of the fee varies, but has remained around $75 per year per workstation for several years. StataA site license for Stata is available by going to Stata's GradPlan site and clicking "University of Arkansas, Fayetteville". Make your software selection, and follow the instructions at the Stata site. You will pick up your software from Ling Ting at IT Services. Symantec AntiVirusIT Services and the Student Tech Fee have purchased a campus-wide site license from Symantec so that Symantec AntiVirus software can be installed on any University-owned computer and on home computers owned by registered students or currently employed staff and faculty.
