Mobile ClassroomThe mobile classroom is a self-contained cart of 25 laptops with its own wireless nodes that can be used only in the Arkansas Union. Special request software can be installed on the laptops, but the Student Technology Center (STC) needs at least a ten day lead time. The STC staff sets up the classroom and is available for technical support. Reserving the Mobile Classroom

Setup and Use
Logging Into the Mobile Classroom Laptops At the Windows logon screen, click on the login titled "Click Here to Start". If you need to use the internet, you must first log onto the wireless network. Start by opening a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or FireFox. After opening a browser you should see the Welcome to IP-Nexus screen. If this screen does not appear in your browser window, click the refresh button in your browser. After reading the information about IP-Nexus, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Click here to log in link. At the following login screen, enter the same username and password that you used to log into UA email and click Log in. You should now be logged onto the wireless network and be able to access resources on the Internet. The following screen will verify this. Minimize this window, but do not close it during your mobile classroom session. This will enable you to click the Log Out button when you are finished and log yourself off of the wireless network. Guest Network Accounts In order to be able to access the campus network and Internet, users of the mobile classroom must have either a valid University UARK account and have activated the Active Directory account or be provided access, for the duration of the class, with a Guest Account. Guest Accounts for Mobile Classroom may be requested from the STC at 575-8602. The instructor/sponsor of a class using the mobile classroom is responsible for requesting Guest Accounts for this purpose when needed. The instructor must also advise each individual receiving a Guest ID of the University's responsible use policy as provided by the Code of Computing Practices, and must accept responsibility to ensure the class participants abide by the Code. The instructor/sponsor will be contacted if misuse occurs.
