The Student Technology Center is a walk-in computing help center offering laptops and projectors for checkout as well as high-end multimedia direction and assistance.

The Research Data Center assists faculty, staff, and researchers with designing surveys, analyzing data, and solving technical problems and is affiliated with the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) which houses the largest collection of social sciences data in the world.

Wireless laptops available for checkout by UA students.

Mobile classrooms are now available to students, faculty, and staff for meetings, classes, and small group use.

Publicly accessible network ports and wireless network coverage allow members of the University community to access the campus network using network-capable laptops and portable devices.

WebCT can be used to create entire online courses or to simply publish materials that supplement existing courses, and requires minimal technical expertise on the part of the developer of the course and on the part of the student.

MySQL is one of the world's most popular open source relational database servers.

University IT Services offers Internet-based video conferencing utilizing Tandberg and Polycom teleconferencing appliances.

Web Conferencing allows users to collaborate, hold group meetings, and make live presentations over the Internet. Unlike Webcasts, Web Conferences are interactive.
