ISIS

ISIS, the University's Integrated Student Information System, is the student administrative software program that was implemented in 2004. ISIS is used by faculty to get class rosters, access student photos, create class listservs, and for grade entry. ISIS is used by students to apply for financial aid, register for classes, check class availability, get grades online, and update personal information. ISIS is used by staff members whose job requires having direct access to student information.

Access to the ISIS system is granted through security that is based on specific job requirements. Supervisors must complete the interactive ISIS Security Request form and fax to 575-4651 or mail to ISIS Security, HUNT 146. A form should be submitted for new security or when an employee changes jobs or leaves the University. Notification is sent when security has been set. For more information regarding the submission of forms, or for general ISIS security information, please contact the ISIS office at 575-4642, or e-mail isishelp@uark.edu.

Use your UARK username and password to log in to ISIS.

If you encounter any difficulties accessing information in ISIS, contact your area ISIS Security Coordinator to confirm that you have the correct security. If you receive an error when trying to log in to ISIS, contact the UITS Help Desk at 479.575.2905 or helpdesk@uark.edu or isishelp@uark.edu

Finding Your Student ID in ISIS

While in your Student Center, scroll down to the Personal Information banner.  Your student ID is displayed in the University ID box in the Personal Information section.

Showing Closed Classes

The class that you had viewed earlier is now full and the default in ISIS is to show open classes only.  You can change the default to view all classes. In the Class Search option, select the year and term in which you want to search and click the Go button. On the Class Search Criteria page uncheck the box for Show Open Classes Only, add at least two search criteria and click Search. You will now see all the classes, open and closed, that meet your search criteria.

Searching Online and Distance Learning Classes

You can search for classes or browse a catalog without logging in to ISIS. To search in ISIS for only online and distance learning classes:

  1. Go to myISIS at isis.uark.edu.
  2. Look for the Class Search/Browse Catalog link under the Self Service heading.
  3. Select the University of Arkansas from the Institution dropdown menu and enter the Year and Term you would like to search.
  4. Click the GO button.
  5. Type the four letter code or the first letter of your Course Subject. Click the magnifying glass to select your subject.
  6. Click the Additional Search Criteria arrow.
  7. In the Campus dropdown menu choose Off Campus.
  8. If you are taking classes at an off-campus location, type the first letter of your location in the Location box. Click the magnifying glass and select your location from the dropdown menu.
  9. Click the SEARCH button and the available courses will be returned.
